Bob's Car

Bob's car has finally given out. It is currently in a coma and the plug will be pulled soon. A memorial service will be planned shortly. Purchased by Bob in 1996, it was acquired by me in 2001. It currently has 122,500 miles and has traveled to every corner of this state and most of the northeast. The purple pearl Chevy Lumina has been a beloved member of the family and quite reliable. It will be sorely missed.

Have I mentioned my recent Alias obsession. I've watched the show from day one, but I have been corrupting everyone I know into watching it lately. Michael Vaughn rocks. 

This one is better. I am wearing a David Cone shirt. I never got a Girardi one. Oh well! 

I met Joe Girardi today!!!! Whoohoo! He is by far my favorite Yankee Catcher.

John Michael Roberts, where the hell have you been? It's been years since I've heard from you? I've done email searches, everything, but you disappeared off the face of the earth. We all used to have so much fun together. Dave even moved back here and I discovered that he's really slimy and annoying and I have no use for him. Wish it was you that moved back.

Where did you go? Did you end up in California? I called the numbers you gave me, three weeks after your last phone call and nothing, you'd disappeared. Why? I still remember the night you came to New Paltz just to hang while I did laundry. I remember the night I locked you out of my dorm cause I was off making out with some guy named Andy and you had to sleep in your car in the health center parking lot and we never went to bed, just headed for the trainstation and went to NYC. How I taught you sign language and he walked from one end of Manhattan to the other. I remember all the naps I took on the Hudsonian couch. The night of Sierra's birthday at Foley's, you massaging the back of my head while Vicky "made out" with some guy at the bar.

Of all of my friends who have fallen out of my life over the years, I miss you the most. I just wish I knew you were alive and well.

Okay, so the Christmas tree pic is a little out of order, but oh well. I decorated the entire 7 1/2 thing by myself. Isn't it lovely??? It's been a good week. No work... presents. Jason Varitek was not only re-signed, but named captain. Only the third in Red Sox history. I watched the entire first season of Alias on DVD, watched Pirates of the Carribbean (awesome) and Spiderman 2 (lame). Went to Boston for New Year's which as usual rocked. And the Yankees signed Tino Martinez again. yippee!!! Happy, Happy New Year!!!!!

Ode to a Boy

Have you ever met someone and they don't leave your head. Someone so wrong for you that you want them more. For years I have seen this guy. He's unique, dark, moody, artistic. He is sexy as all hell. I spent one night just hanging out with him. Talking, laughing, drinking... I had the opportunity to kiss him and I pulled away. There are so many reasons for that. He is someone I would love a fling with. I don't think either of us would last a real relationship. It isn't either of us. It's coming up on the one year anniversary since the night I almost kissed him. He's in my head again. I haven't seen him since that night. I had never talked to him more in all the year's I've known him than that night. I want him to know that I think he's amazing. I know he isn't perfect but I don't mind. I admire that. I wish we could just say to hell with what others would say and just see what happens.

Who knows.

Naughty or Nice

The day after Christmas.... Ahhhh... Sleep. Wonderful sleep. It was a good Christmas. Got a digital camera. Books, Dukes of Hazzard on DVD. A new sleeping bag. Spent too many quality hours of family time.

I want to go back to school. I want money. I have none. I have less than none. I am so broke it's not funny. I have no idea how that happened.

If I had my way I'd spend my days watching Sex & the City, Desperate Housewives, Alias and Las Vegas. I would escape reality and live solely for the purpose of fiction.

I FINALLY have a computer that is running and remembered my password to this site so I am up and running again. Go me!!

Hell Has Frozen Over

1918 is no more. The curse is over. Maybe Babe isn't happy that NY wants to build him a new Condo. Maybe the planets were alligned. Maybe the Baseball Gods were busy playing golf. Maybe the Lunar Eclipse was magical.

These are the signs I saw. First, the Yankees signed A-Fraud and Kevin Brown. Who wants a pitcher on their team, who in a moment of pure selfishness punches a wall and breaks his hand? Who wants a player who plays dirty by blatantly smacking a ball out of a pitcher's hand?

Second, when has Derek Jeter ever committed three errors in one week, let alone in the post season?

Third, the Sox haven't won a World Series in 86 years. They haven't been to the Series since 86. Hmmm... Baseball is a game of numbers.

I've been saying all year that Derek Lowe should get re-signed. Now all of Boston is starting to agree with me. The first player in Major League history to win all three clinching games. Go Derek!!!
